La Romana-Cueva de maravillas-Santo Domingo

Hi,
is it possible to make a trip from La Romana To Santo Domingo, stopping at Cueva de las Maravillas, using guaguas or other public transport (not motoconchos)? Or any organised coach trips there from La Romana?

Worst case scenario, how much would be a cab (roughly) for this journey with a 60 minutes stopover at la Cueva?

There are buses between Romana and Santo domingo..that part is easy enough. Maybe the stop over thing is more specific..not sure about that one..sorry.
