Default Auto ferry from Samana to Sabana de lar Mar?

I've read that there is a passenger ferry, but is there an auto ferry? Does anyone know the schedule?

We're planning to rent a car in Punta Cana and do a loop around the island through SD and PP*. If there's no auto ferry, though, I guess it will be a back-and-forth trip instead, unless someone has other suggestions.

*First time in DR, but I have driven extensively in Latin America before, so I'm not too worried about it.

No car ferry.
Some guys get bikes on, but it's basically a pedestrian ferry.
