leaving punta cana
Dear Forum,
I am arriving at Punta Cana airport at 5 p.m. Sunset is 6:30 p.m. on that day. What realistic options do I have for getting a bus from the airport? To Higuey? Or along the coast past Punta Cana itself up to El Macao or La Vacama on the coastal road. Is this last option realistic if I do not want to be travelling on my first evening in the DR? And although I have read a few posts on this site, could someone tell me exactly what buses are available at the airport. Is there a bus stop at the airport, as well as a gua-gua stop at Veron, a short taxi distance away. What is the name of the bus--if it exists--at the airport, and is the bus stop easy to find? I appreciate all of your assistance.
