First Post: Sto Domgo To Las Terrenas To Santiago and Back!

Hello, everyone!

I'm a new member and this is my first post, so please bare with me

First of all, here's a short life story:

I was born in Tamboril, Santiago, and since the age of twelve, I've been living in NYC. I am thirty-two-years-old now, and this is my second time traveling back to the Republic.

This time, however, I'll be flying to Santo Domingo (Bought last minute tickets).

I have a car reservation and I'm planning to travel to Las Terrenas, after spending a day in La Zona Colonial.

After spending several days in Las Terrenas, I will be heading to Santigo, where I will spend another week before heading back to Santo Domingo for my flight back to NYC.

Here is the thing:

I've been reading posts such as this one - Traveling from Las Terrenas to Santiago...

Driving time from Las Terrenas to Santiago

GPS Users, take a look!

I was looking for the post of the new autopista/carretera that goes from Santo Domingo to Samana, however, I could not find it...

Could someone please post it here for me, if you have it??

Also, I would like to know of any updates to any autopistas/carreteras that I could take from Las Terrenas to Santiago?

I'll be leaving this coming Friday the thirteenth (Scary!) and I will appreciate any updates before that day, if you all please!! On the GPS matter and of traveling to the above-mentioned destinations, as well!

the new highway from SD to Sanchez starts just before the toll booths going to Airport from SD.From Sanchez,you need to go over the mountain to LT,or follow highway towards Samana,and then towards El Limon and on to LT.

Do not know about LT to Santiago.
