Santo Domingo to Luperon HELP!

So me and my cousin, im 23 and shes 21 (both girls) won a trip to Luperon Dominican Republic. Its an all inclusive trip, and well.... i hope it works out. My question is. We bought plan tickets and the travel agency has us flying into Santo Domingo. The trip is quickly approaching, like less than a week. I called the resort today and they told me it was going to be 220 US dollars for transportation from Santo Domingo Airport to Luperon Beach Resort! please help! our plane tickets were 470 dollars and they are non refundable and we dont have the much money for transportation. Any suggestions on how to get from the airport to the resort???? any sugguestions welcome!

Should have visited here before. Flights to Santiago might have saved your wallet.

Okay...

1) taxi to Caribe Tours.
2) Caribe Tours to Puerto Plata
3) Tell driver to let you off at Luperon intersection at Imbert.
4) Take local guagua to destination

Or

Take Caribe Tour bus to Santiago and local taxi to Luperon ($80 probably)

Or

Lots of alternatives...any SPanish?
