Landing 320pm need to get to La Romana

Hi guys,
Landing in PUJ at 330 on a Thursday need to get to Jumbo in LA Romana.
Is there Busses if so from where? what would i expect to pay for a taxi for that distance?

From the airport, you will need to take a taxi to the bus stop in Bavaro for passage to La Romana. The driver will know where it is. Jumbo is on the left on the main highway, just after crossing the bridge entering into La Romana.

Taxi rate is US$120 for the less than 2 hour trip. Your option is to take a taxi to the Veron bus stop and then catch the public transport bus for RD$110 to Higuey. In Higuey you catch the bus to La Romana. Ask at the airport -- any of the baggage handlers will know -- if there is still time to catch the local airport bus (you have to walk all the way to the outside of the airport) to the Veron stop. If not you will have to pay about US$15 to get to that stop -- 5 minutes away. Negotiate with the taxi driver. The Higuey-La Romana bus will put you not so far from Jumbo, but if you have luggage, then ask for help to take a taxi. Local taxi should be no more than RD$150.

You can easily get the taxi from Airport.

There is a bus stop just outside the airport where you can walk to if you don't have to much luggage with you. The bus there will pick you up and drop you at the close by main bus terminal to Higuey. In Higuey you can easily catch another bus to La Romana. You have to figure out how to let the chauffeur know that you want to go to La Romana and he will drop you right at the terminal where the buses leave for La Romana.
