Mirabal Museum from SDQ??

Hi everybody!!

So my Mom is arriving later today, and we would both like to go to the Mirabal Museum in Salcedo. Is it possible to get there from the new Samana Highway? I went there in 2004 for a field trip and know we took the Duarte Highway, but just wanted to know if there was a faster route.
If anybody could give me directions from Santo Domingo, that would be great!!
