Punta Cana to Santo Domingo

I'm going to take a trip to DR soon, saterday 20 june to be exact
I'll be landing in Punta Cana around 3 o clock in the afternoon,
so by the time I clear customs and get my bags itll prob be too late
to catch the bus from punta cana to Santo Domingo (last one is at 4pm if im correct)

I looked for similar threads and this is what they told people in the past.

- either take a taxi from Punta Cana to SD, I would do this if its not too expensive, so maybe someone here knows a thrustworthy person whom I can contact?

- 2nd option is to get to Higuey, spend the night in a hotel and get to SD the next day, anyone who would be able to help me with this?


Im kinda nervous its my first time in DR, I dont speak a lot of spanish so I want to arrange everything in advance so hopefully theres no suprises

Okay, anyone here that can give me some more info
on how to get to higuey from punta cana ?
then find a cheap hotel there and I can take the guagua to santo domingo the next day

Okay, right now im thinking it might just be easier and almost as cheap as stayin overnight in a hotel
just to find some1 who will drive me to santo domingo

So if any of you have some who does this (unofficially) help me out id really appreciate it

And what ll be the rate on that?

Relax! It is Sunday and people are doing something else than sitting in front of the pc.

There is a bus stop just outside the airport where you can walk to if you don't have to much luggage with you. The bus there will pick you up and drop you at the close by main bus terminal to Higuey. In Higuey you can easily catch another bus to Santo Domingo. You have to figure out how to let the chauffeur know that you want to go to Santo Domingo and he will drop you right at the terminal where the buses leave for Santo Domingo. You will be able to catch a bus at least until 7.00 pm in Higuey.
