Carib tours from Santiago-STD

Does anyone know:

1) How much the fare is from Santiago to Santo Domingo?

2) How long the journey is?

3) Whether the bus goes anywhere near the area of Gazcue, the Palacio de Policia Nacional, Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) or Palacio Presidencial?

Takes: 2-2:15 hrs
The Caribe Tours station is right up the street from Police headquarters, a few blocks (6-8?) from National Palace.

I do not know where Unibe is located.

Thanks. The locations I gave are all in the same vicinity more or less.

Based on your calculations, with two of us travelling it'll still be worth travelling by Caribe tours rather driving.

Absolutely. In gasoline alone!! And then you take taxis...Actually, you can walk over to the Police headquarters (Scary place!!). It's like 100 yards away.

I've been to STD before, but I don't know my way around.

Should I ask the driver to let us off or is it the main terminal point? If it's not the main terminal point, does the driver let passengers know which stop is next?

Hope I'm making myself clear, I'm a little tired.
