Taxi from Punta cana airport to Bavaro

Hi everybody.
I decide to go to DR for my holidays.

problem is now that I dont know how to get from airport to hotel.
can somebody help me how much it can be from Punta Cana airport to Bavaro area?

i heard that there are no taximeters only fixed fares.

If you haven't, it's worth checking if your hotel/tour company offers an airport pick-up service.

Hello Michal,

Bavaro is a large area and the taxi fixed fare prices range about US$28 to $38depending on distance of destination from airport.

What is your final destination?

hotel name is : Barcelo punta cana hotel
on their site is that they are about 35 away from punta cana airport.
its my 1st time so dont know nothin.

thats the site of hotel.
maybe u have some experience with this hotel? somebody?

If it is the Barcelo Resort and Convention Center you are staying at and noting I have a residence nearby, then the fare should be in the US $28 range.

Note: The Carretera Mecad is a new one for me

Barcelo Punta Cana is the Barcelo Premium, the former Breezes Punta Cana. While it is technically not Bavaro, as you know Tour Operators take great license with the use of names like Bavaro and Punta Cana.

The taxi rate will be about $45US mas o menos one way for up to 5 passengers.

It's hard to stay current with changes in the zone. Growth has been explosive. The commerce has been boom and bust and with that changes in business names and owners. It like playing a game of Monopoly, that as you play the owners and names the properties change so fast in one cycle around the board the bank can't keep up with the transactions.
