where is la famerica

i heard that is the area around the las americas airport , can any tell me where it is and how is the area , hotels info , bars, clubs and is it spelled right i cant find it on a map thanks

Well, the area would most likely be "las americas". There is a nice hotel - Quality Hotel Santo Domingo, about 100 bucks per night w/ buffet breakfast included. There is ISLA gas station near by so you can buy some drinks and snacks there ... that's about it, you are in the middle of nowhere.
