The end of June, around the 22nd. Enter DR the 24th most likely, but no idea...

Btw, that's great advice. Thanks
It is just all the time I have been in the DR with a bike (small one), I only road it one time in the capital, and that was in the late 80's. Now I don't even like riding around and through Santiago on a bike. Give the quieter, less traveled routes any day. Just for time sakes, it becomes necessary to spend time on the main through fares.
I will be around the SFM area in July, let me know when you are in the neighborhood.

Great! What days will you be around?
Santo Domingo is a really cool city, and though maybe not fun to drive through, it's definitely worth seeing imho. Luckily it's not very big and the roads become rural pretty quickly, so we won't have to drive too much!

There's an awful lot to see in Santo Domingo, so I'd definitely go. I'd simply arrive when traffic is comparatively slow (like sunrise on a Sunday), and then use cabs/mass transit to get around. It's a great city, but traffic is very hazardous, esp. if you're on a small bike.

Haha. Machete is in the list, just not first aid.

Hello Again!
Just so all of you know, we're heading out next Friday. Leaving from Leogane, Haiti en route to Pedernales, begining our journey of an almost full loop of the island!

A staple of my med kit when I go on my riding holidays (although I ride horses, not bikes) is super glue - quick and easy repair with minimal scarring for most cuts, small, light weight and easy to get and apply.
