Beach

We were in Playa Dorada last year and found the beach was always kept clean and nice to walk on, this year we were in Varadero Cuba and the beach was in bad shape, they use to have a beach crew just like in Playa Dorada but we never saw them, I was wondering because of 9/11 and the lack of people travelling did they cut back in the Dr as well

Was sad to hear your story. When I was in Cuba the beaches were great. They still clean them here at Playa Dorada.

Hola ,iwas in Playa Dorado in early Feb ...and the beach seemed clean to me .Tourism is down though in the area this year .I found that bartering in Puerta Plata was better than Punta Cana to get a good deal . The Rumba Heavens was closed except for the Disco .Hopefuuly tourism picks back up . Ciao
