Beach????

OK THIS MAY SOUND LIKE A STUPID QUESTION, BUT I KIND OF NEED SOME HELP.
I HAVE HEARD VARIED REPORTS ON THE BEACH AT THE BARCELO TALANQUERA, AND MOST OF THEM SAY IT IS NOT VERY NICE. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE LET ME KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE ACCESS TO OTHER BEACHES IN JUAN DOLIO THAT ARE NICER THAN THE ONE AT TALANQUERA.
CAN I WALK TO THEM????
OR ARE ALL OF THE BEACHES PRIVATE TO INDIVIDUAL HOTELS????

Everything is near in Juan Dolio. You can walk around. The beach is about two kilometers long. I would say, come on down. From what I recall, Talanquera had a good stretch of beach in Juan Dolio. It's not the best beach in the DR, but it's a place to relax and enjoy. And you can rent a car and visit La Romana (Dominicus-Bayahibe) beaches, which are among the best in the country.
