Travel Agents in the DR

Hi all, a party of 10 of us arrive next week, we know roughly where we are staying, in an AI on the north coast. My fiance and i want to stay for another week in local b&b's, but will need a flight back to the UK.
Do any of you know any travel agents where we can book a 1 way flight back to the UK.
Are we best going str8 to the airport?
Are we best seeing the reps?

ANY INFO WILL BE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED.

one way trip to UK will cost you a fortune.

Did you not get a reply from me earlier on this subject? I can remember writing one & I felt sure I had posted it on the board.

One way flights from the DR are very expensive as already stated - US $500 + as you have to go schedule.

Your options are
1. Get a FLIGHT ONLY two way ticket from England with one of the charter companies, that has a return date that you want. Cost should be in the region of £350 I would think.

2. Get hold of the Head Office of the company you are travelling with & ask them if you can buy a one way from DR, to be issued by the tour company over here.

3. Wait until you get here & ask your rep to get the regional manager to check if they have a seat available for both of you on the flight returning the week after you are booked to return. Most likely they will not have because flights tend to be full at the moment & she will only know on the day you are DUE to return, as they don't know seat availablity until one week before flight.

4. Contact Continental in UK & ask them if they are prepared to do something for you (You buying at THAT end might make it cheaper than buying it out here. This is a schedule airline but normally they only sell competitive seats when the flight is two way. Anyway, it is worth a try!!

Cheers marc and grahame, i will check out your responses. At the moment the best price im getting is £300 from uk return, so i might have to bite the bullet.
