Question Punta Cana in March / Melia Caribe

Traveling with large group of customers to Punta Cana late March. Looking for input to activities, night life, day trips, golf, etc.
Anything else around or do we stay at the pool bar? Group is mainly married couples, no children. Is it worth it to travel to neighboring towns to site see, shop, party or stay put? With respect to golf, what are one or two of the must play courses in Punta Cana? Are tee times a must prior to arriving? There, that ought to be enough questions.

Melia Caribe-Tropical is one of the largest and most beautiful resort in PC. there is a lot of things to do to keep you busy during whole day.
Golf was include in your package last year, but now I thing there is a fee.
The Cocotal golf course is one of the most beautiful in PC.
Night life at the resort is ok. they have a casino, disco and the bar around the lobby get very busy.
If you want a wild night life you should try: Huracan cafe (thurs. and sat.) just can go by taxi or just walk on the beach to the left of your hotel.
Mangu is a great dance club located in Flamenco.
