Thumbs up just got back and some thoughts...

Had a flight for Friday night. Got bumped and AA gave me a 400 travel voucher and RT cab fare to a place in Playa Dorada in Puerto Plata for the night. Went back on Saturday and got bumped again and AA gave me Rt Cab, another 400 travel voucher and a night at Piergeorgio in Sosua. Went back on Sunday and almost got bumped again.

They put me on the plane kicking and screaming. I made this trip on Freq Flyer miles and I think I will even get milage for the return. Just booked another flight on FF miles for Christmas Morning at 6:45 am and will be there till Jan 6th.

FWIW Playa Dorada wasnt so great and Piergeorgio has to be the classyest place in Sosua. Hell it even had a bidet in the bathroom. Couldn't figure out what to do with it so I will leave it to AZB to tell me what he does with them.

Man I thought I was going to make a cottage industry out of bumping and grinding for a while.

I went to Santo Domingo for one day to get my Residency. Well I got it done in ONE DAY. Good attorney had me all taken care of. You can now call me "Escott" instead of Scott from now on! lol

I was going to try and hook up with that 400 lbs Gorilla, Criss Colon for lunch but wouldnt you know it when I got all done they left out one letter in my name and I had to wait for it to get corrected and the laminating machine broke and it took 2 hours

The Dominican women were beautiful. I fell in love so many times I stopped counting. Oh what a life.

Weather was perfect the whole time I was there, didn't even rain for 5 minutes. I am going to post this in the travel section also in case anyone is interested in my drivel.

Regards
Escott (my new Dominican name)

Yes, they paid the hotel and round trip cab. Tell you the truth I would have settled for the 400-US voucher every time.

I paid 1000- US to the attorney and she paid all the expenses out of that. You need a birth certificate, someone to sponsor you and letter of good conduct from the police. Then you need to be in good health.

Benefits are that you get to stay in the General population when you are in Jail

Hello (e)scott!
And thank you for the tip about visiting Rockys! Sorry that we didn't see you there more than the one night (did you do well in the Casino?) We went there (not the casino...) a couple of more nights and it was a really nice place with lots of nice people. Unfortunately we didnt meet Marco the last night we were there so we weren't able to say goodbye, so if you talk to him (or ester or ted...) could you bring them our regards?

Ingve and Beate
(sorry for all the bad typing; to my excuse i am norwegian and haven't slept since my plane left POP 36 hours ago)

Hey, nice to hear from you. I think Marco is reading this forum. He is a little gunshy about putting in messages here because of the gunslinging in the Open forum. He may just jump in on a thread if he doesnt feel that he has to pull out his six shooter

Glad you all enjoyed yourself. I lost in the casino but had a nice tie nonetheless.

I have planned Christmas and New Years back in Sosua already because of the difficulty of doing a Frequent Flyer trip at the last minute.

Regards
Escott

Graziella Furmin Noesi in Puerto Plata.

If you need her number let me know. Once she takes your money she is incredible. She assigned me a helper who took me though everything and got it done in one day. His English is a little rough but it worked for me. Hell her English is a little rough also but what the heck I got it done and my spanish is atrocious.

Your Dominican friend,
Escott (hey thats what the Dominican women call me ya know!)

Is that true? That can't be true! Doesn't that depend on your crime? There are different kinds of "presos", aren't there? If you're, for example, under investigation, they might let you go home to sleep and report to the cuartel in the morning.

I have never done time in the DR but I have been told that little tidbit about jail by a friend in Sosua. I don't do things to get myself arrested and actually get along well with cops and judges.

After seeing your pic on the sight I wouldn't mind doing time with you though!

You could always say "No Blah Blah Espanol". Then show them a foreign drivers license. That should do it.

Escott
