As a UNPHU alumni I can safely say there is no financial assistance for foriegn students. Some US financial institutions will grant loans but they are few and far between.
Why do you want to study tourism at UNPHU? Their program is based on a US program(U of Texas in believe) so it in not like you will get any special training.

How about the banks themselves Tony, would they offer any subsidies?

Default You can do better

Try studying at the PUCMM, Recinto Sto Tomás de Aquino, in Santo Domingo. They offer the Licentiate degree in Hotel Administration-a very good degree, with the opportunity to study in Switzerland and other European countries. The PUCMM is a recognized institution for the Federal Loan programs that you can apply for in the US...

Default You are probaby making a good choice

even though we have "sort of" discouraged you about studying in someplace other than the US, just look at it as one of those times when older and probably wiser heads prevailed. I am sure that you can get one of those "Semester overseas" programs at just about any college you go to in the States...If not, just e-mail me and I'll set it up at the PUCMM in Santiago..We have lots of US students studying here...
