I stayed in Puerta Plata at the Coral Marien for a week....it was great

Great weather, beautiful hotel and lots of fun! I went to Sosua for an afternoon and now I have to plan to spend more time there next time because I loved it! I'm already planning another DR trip

Sosua has a lot of nice people there. Keeps a lot of us going back often. I actually feel that way about a bunch of places in and around that area actually now that I think about it.

Glad you had a good time. I am on the lookout for an internet special to Puerto Plata. I was waiting on a Real Estate closing which happened on Thursday and now that it happened I probably will only come across high fares... go figger!

Hi Jane,
I liked everything about Sosua. First, the beach was nicer than the hotel I was at, the water is beautiful. We went out on the glass bottom boat which was great. There is this cool party-like atmosphere there and all the people we met were so nice. Unfortunately we were only there for a few hours. Have you been there before? What do you like about it?

Glad you had a good trip Carrie! Where did the glass bottom boat leave from, was it on Sosua Beach? How much did it cost? I really want to try that next time I am there.

Sosua is my favourite beach of all - and the glass bottom boat is a lot of fun, as well as the catamaran rides.

I used to live there - I just wanted to hear why you like it too.

The boat leaves from right at the beach in Sosua. Its about $9 US for about 35 minutes. Its is definitely worth it! I see they are building a new hotel in Sosua by the beach. Does anyone know what that is going to be called? Thanx
