Default All-inclusive in Cabarete or Sosua

Planning to spend a week-end in Cabarete or Sosua in an all-inclusive. Which one do you recommend and how much is it per person per day. Thank you.

There is a new hotel complex being built in Sosua. It includes the Sosua Bay Hotel, which is AI. You are right on the Bay and can walk out of the hotel and onto the Sosua beach. For more information, including hotel prices, see http://www.starzresorts.com/en/h2/

To get a better rate, see, for example http://www.newtravelage.com/america/...a_bay_club.htm

Sosua has a better swimming beach and cabarete has better wind and kite surfing. Otherwise it is a toss up.

Visited Casa Marina June/July 2002, and can thoroughly recommend it. Only minutes walk from Sosua town.

A friend of mine stayed at Coco Palm between Sosua and Cabarete-nearer to Cabarete--walking distance, really. I was there several times and the rooms are spacious and very nicely appointed. My friends said it was quite inexpensive. Might try it..
I know I'd stay there...

Default You are missing a nut, HB

That's Coco-nut Palms. Same owners and same management for many years. And, get this, you doubters, Coconut Palms is also a timeshare resort. Good reputation, not the best beach, though.

You know, Abe, my wife says that all the time!! I looked and looked at that post and I just knew there was something wrong there but I could not for the life of me remember what it was. Thanks.

And it is a nice place, methinks,
