Can anyone tell me the best place to exchange US dollars for DR. I am travelling into Puerto Plata on Saturday 10/12. Thanks

It depends where you are staying. If you are going to be in the Playa Dorada, the Westen Union office in the plaza usually gives a better rate than the money exchanges at the hotels.

If you are going into the city, go to Cambio Rusa on Doce de Julio. The rates there are usually quite good.
