I was in Santo Domingo in August and made it my mission to find the statue of Fray Bartolomeo de las Casas on Calle Bellini. I am hoping that someone can tell me when the statue was made and by whom. The guide had no idea to what/whom I was referring to when I asked him for information. Thank you!
Now that is an interesting question. See if you can contact the person that conducts the city tours that DR1 has posted. She is an expert and just might know.
