La Romana hotels

I'm flying a corporate aircraft into LaRomana in a few weeks and am looking for a place to stay for five days. My customers will be staying at Casa de Campo so I'd like to stay somewhere else. Are there any other choices other than that and Casa del Mar? Is the Bayahibe area too far away to stay? I've read the rants and raves on Fodors.com about Casa del Mar and the contributors don't seem enthusiastic about it.

There is a fabulous new hotel called Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus which also has a fabulous price. I was also intrigued by the Barcelo property Reina Cumayasa. There is very little in the way of desireable non Al-In properties. There are also 2 Viva properties there as well. Good luck
