Follow the music & crowd -- you'll find the street quick enough. La Vega is not that big anyway -- easily walkable. The Carnaval there is quite enjoyable -- more colorful than anything I've seen Santo Domingo ever put on. Just watch out for those diablos and the cow bladders they carry -- they love wacking people in the crowd with them.
