Default How much does teaching English pay?

I am an American and have taught ESL in Rhode Island, Madrid and Mexico. I am not certified but do have experience. Does anyone know how much ESL teachers make in Santo Domingo?

Thanks

If you are considering teaching in one of the private businesses offering English instruction, expect very low pay.

The private schools that cater to children of expatriates and wealthy Dominicans pay much better, but you must be certified.

Default English Certification

I have taught Mexicans english here in south Ga so I also had an interest in the DR doing the same. (no not with the Mexicans silly) There is a school that is 2 weeks that certifies you in the DR. Go to WWW.QuisqueyaTESOL.com for more info. Pam
