Traveling to China

Hi! I am living in Santo Domingo and am planning to travel to China in March for vacations. I need information on where to solicit a tourist visa.

I am told China has no consulate offices here in the DR.

Does anyone know where I should go? Cuba or the US?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

While DR has formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan, there is a small "business affair" office that acts as a Chinese consulate in Santo Domingo, where you can get your Chinese visa. I do not know where it is but I can ask around and get back to you here.

The best info I can find is that it's located in some small street behind the Supermercado Nacional on Nunez de Caceres between 27th/Kennedy.

Perhaps others might have more accurate info ?
