Default Need Help

We are planning on going to Puerto Plata
this December and were thinking of staying at the Seagrape Beach Club. Has anyone stayed there and whats it like?
Also what is the scuba diving like in Puerto Plata and who would be the best dive outfit to go with? Any idea on prices etc.?

Thanks

Seagrape is in Cabarete I think. If it is the same place it is not in a very convienent location. Other than that I never walked in the door.

Default SeaGrape

Seagrape is to the east of Cabarete about 3 miles up the road towards Islabon/Sabaneta.
It's an AI resort and looks OK. It can be noisy though from what I've seen.
Sarah Watson, who posts here sometimes was recently there and they seemed happy with it.
The community it is in has other resorts, shops, trip pedlars, bars and restuarants, plus massage and tattoo/piercing salon!
It's a bit out of town if you fancy nights on the beach in Cabarete.
