There are many good hotels in Boca Chica a few Km. down the road for $40 with taxes ( for two months even less) so if they have non-AI in Juan Dolio they must be less than that or similar.

What's the attraction of Juan Dolio? It is not that big a town.

If you choose to stay in Boca Chica, avoid Hotel Europa. Especially the ocean-view rooms for $60, which do not have an ocean-view and cost about $75 with the "new taxes". Enjoy.

No, but I arrive tomorrow ( 12/25) at 8 p.m. until the 5th. Why?

I am sure there MUST be some sort of tourist accomodation in Juan Dolio.

I haven't heard of anyone actually staying there for a long time since Boca Chica is so close but I think even if I had to be there I'd probably stay in Boca Chica and use the gua-gua to Juan Dolio which must be like 10 pesos or so since San Pedro is only 17 pesos, I think, and it is another 1/2 hour further.

Hey Joe Tenn use the PM function, and you can e-mail me. Obviously there is something you need to know so fire away. Be explicit.

You can rent apartments in Jaun Dolio for less than that and have no problem inviting whoever you want to visit at anytime. I'll name a couple of them. Plaza Real, Plaza Azul, Hotel Europa,Metro,Colonial Tropical and many others. Go to town and start asking around. Be clear about the price and get it in writing.

joetenn, do like I did, go to SuperPagesDR. com and look for hotels or apart-hotels in Juan Dolio. You can call them from where you live and you can make a reservation. It's not that hard. I did it on September and got an amazing condo in El naco (capital), for about $ 300.00 US for 9 days. It came with everything; 2 bedrooms with ac's, kitchen, dinette room, living room, 2 tv's with cable, fridge, stove, microwave, washer and dryer, toaster, blender and it even came with all the cookware in case you want to cook and it was furnished in full. I got it tru the above pages. Good luck!!!!
