hola, my girlfriend and I, both around fifty years old but open minded and adventurous, are planning to land in Puerto Plata in early November 2004. We have no reservations or anything and are looking for suggestions for things to do and where to stay etc...

Our planned budget is 3500 pesos per day. What kind of vacation can we expect?

P.S. I am more than functional in spanish.

Prices are changing all the time so you might want to check back as the time gets closer. Also, have an idea of what you want to do, what area you wish to visit, your requirements for hotel/food, etc. then someone can tell you if your budget will cover you.
