spending summer in DR

I am planning on spending this summer of 2004 in the north shore area of DR. Will I have any problems finding a small apartment, or, studio? What should I expect as to rent?

Amy probably ment that GirlyGirl has an apartment which she rents to people while she is out of the country or something like that.
