3 Guys From Atlanta Visiting the DR. Where Do We Stay?
Just like the title says. We are 3 guys, one married who are planning on visiting the DR.
I am organizing this trip and I would like a little information.
All Inclusive sounds great, but we are concerned about the visitation policy. I cannot speak for my married friend but we are looking to hook up with as many DR girls as possible. I'm not above paying for it, but I prefer meeting girls at a club/disco and putting the moves on them. We are all Educated guys and fairly good looking. Besides, my Spanish is good enough to get by. We are considering visiting Puerto Plata because of the nightlife. Is there a better part of the country for single guys?
Where can we enjoy a resort type atmosphere that allows visitation, has nice beaches, snorkeling, ATV tours, and shopping.
We all love Cigars and are interested in purchasing several boxes of Dominican cigars and possibly taking a Cigar tour.
We would also like to play a little golf.
Any info provided is appreciated.

Single guys... I would say Santo Domingo is for you -- shopping and lots of night life for those who have $ to spend. Piantini & Naco area + Colonial City are full of attractive places to meet single professional Dominican women. For golf, convince the girls to take you on Saturday for a round of golf to nearby Guavaberry Golf course. See http://www.guavaberrygolf.com -- but 40 minutes from the city. Lots of good restaurants in that area -- Deli Swiss, Meson, El Ensueño, Cafe Real, etc.

If you guys are planning on visiting Puerto plata then it doesn't matter if you are educated or a plumber from alabama. These girls are almost all hookers if they hook up with you . If you think you have picked up a girl from your charm and sweet talk, chances are you are being picked up by her. You simply made it easier by talking her into it. Now get ready to dish out cash for the ugly greasy hookers. Thats what makes their asses move to the rythem of merrengue beat.
Don't worry about your married friend, chances are he will be the first one to grab the first haitian ugly hooker that will come to his attention. married men are the worst among all the men that I know. They are simply too desperate for action.
If you end up in santo domingo, then get ready for a big city with city crowd. If you speak some spanish then you might have a chance in meeting a young decent girl. But don't expect the girl to end up in your hotel the same night (unless you are lucky enough to find a hooker). There is no real beach in santo domingo and you wouldn't even feel like you are in an island.
I say, stay close to puerto plata / sosua area and have fun.
Have a good vacation.
Regards,
AZB

Puerto Plata is for you
Wish I were going, but...Anyway, stay at one of the AI's there like the Paradise Resort and Casino or Riu Bachata (haven't been there myself, but family members have and have said good things). Get to know a resort worker or one of your tour guides. They will be glad to take you out on the town and get you laid. Sosua is close by and would make a good day trip. Also, there is golf in the area and buying cigars will not be a problem. I'm not sure, but for a cigar tour you may have to go to Santiago. Take the "Safari" tour to the waterfalls. This will sober you up and work off any hangovers you may have. Have fun and don't forget the condoms!
Others that have been recently or live in the area can probably give you better information. Buena suerte.
