the Pepsi Submarine
For the life of me I don't know why the Pepsi corp would have a submarine but they did. I've seen it on a couple of trips that I made to DR. For years it laid dormant at a dock on Ria Romana. I wanted to take a picture of it but I wanted to wait until I was able to get a really good shot.
Well in October 2003 we were on a speed boat and I wanted to get a picture from the water but to my dismay it wasn't there. It was moved some time between July 2003 and October 2003. After bugging my husband to find out where it is so I can get a picture of it. He told me his friend said it was taken to Bavaro.They're planning on filling it with fish and sinking it as a tourist attraction.
I'm hoping someone out there has a picture of this submarine and wouldn't mind sharing it. Also does anyone know the story behind it?
