Default November trip w/ child

I would like to take a trip to Santo Domingo in Nov, with my mother, my husband & 1 yr old. It will be a surprise to all of them -- they have no idea I'm planning it.

Anyway --

My options for hotels are:

Barcelo Talanquera
Decameron Resort
Costa Caribe
Barcelo Bahoruco
Hamaca Coral

Which is the most kid-friendly, right on the beach, not too far from the city (we have family there that we are going to visit), with little to no prostitutes/bad seeds?

Thanks in advance.

Default Well, scratch Hamaca Coral for starters

Then get the best deal you can on any of the others. Perhaps some of the denizens of the Deep South will pop up and give you some "inside" info.

Lightbulb Hamaca (Hilton) is OK

The others AFAIK are in Juan Dolio another 30 Km away (maybe 25) and Hamaca is in Boca Chica so you are closer to the airport ( 10 minutes) and the capital. And it is completely walled off ( even though the beaches are public - e.g. it ought not to be) so if you avoid the town proper you won't see hookers anyway.

The casino and disco are open to the public for free, and for US$10, respectively but that's out of the range of the strumpets you fear anyway.
