Default Bachelor vacation help.

Hello All......

Me and my 3 buddies are planning a long weekend trip in July to the DR and I was wondering what advice you guys could offer.

We are looking at AI packages in the Puerto Plata area.

We are young (mid 20's) and curious about how the night life and the whole scene is over there. Also wondering if July is a good time of year, as far as crowds and such.

To put it bluntly.........we want to meet and socialize (tastefully) with as many women as possible (locals and tourists alike). So any advice you guys could offer that would help us accomplish that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Default Try

Breezes POP, fits your age group, close to Sosua and Cabarete, with free shuttles back and forth.,

Great thanks.

How do the clubs/bars compare to say places in Miami/South Beach? Im from there originally and we are just trying to get an idea of what type of places there are.

Also curious of the type of music they play in the clubs over there.

I've heard stories of there being just a plethora of beautiful women over there (tourists and locals alike). Any specific towns or specific clubs/bars we should definitely go to?

Thanks again.

Default a few suggestions...................

Hey as a single who has travelled to the DR, in that time of year, I have a few suggestions for you. First of all I highly suggest the Playa Dorado area. There are several hotels here and an ok selection of nitelife. If you are looking for tourist nightlife then I suggest staying here. Try the Paradise Hotel Beach and Casino Resort. They have a great disco. For lots of singles I suggest the Fun Royale/Tropicale. There are always tons of singles here! HAve fun and post your trip review, so we can hear about it.

If you are planning to meet the local ladies, Playa Dorada and Breezes are inconvenient, as they are far away from everything, so it becomes complicated, time consuming and costly.
Casa Marina Reef or Beach in the heart of downtown Sosua is the only way to go.
You walk out and your in the thick of it.

From all the posts i have read over the past 6 months i would recommend Cabarete even though i have never stayed there myself.

However if you stay in Casa Marina Reef (Sosua) like rocky suggested then you 1) have a gorgeous beach on your doorstep and 2) you are within easy reach of Playa Dorada, Puerta Plata and Cabarete so you can vary your nights out. I hear Cabarete has bar after bar though (with lots of people your age)

You will have a great time!

Cabarete is great - lots of bars along the beach all within easy walking distance of each other.

I stayed at Azzurro Beach Hotel - just next to all the bars on the beach and an easy walk (literally 5 minutes). Great AI hotel too!
