what i really meant to state was that,,,, i dont like when people call dominican black because some of our ancestor came from africa, white people ancestor came from africa to but noone consider them black

The reason why Dominican cannot be consider a race is because race is determine by physical characteristic.... hair, nose, body structure, skin color, eyes... etc.... which the dominican society you find a mixture of races... mostly black... because of skin color, body structure, hair... etc.. Dominican/hispanic/latin- are all related to culture and custom not to race. And in a personal point... There is nothing wrong with being consider black... specially if you skin color is dark, I think we have to look at ourselves, consider and wonder why are dominican so against being call black... is not like you being call African or African American... If you look black then that what your race is... even if you are Dominican.
