2 days and Counting...
As I stare out into the grey murky skies of Leeds (North England) I can't help but be bloody glad I'm heading off to the Caribbean in a couple of days! Staying at the Hacienda Tropicale in Puerto Plata but fully intending to follow the advice of certain board members and check out areas outside of the AI.
We're arriving Wed night and if I know my mates, we'll probably want to celebrate with a Presidente or two....Is there anywhere that's particularly rocking mid-week, or should we just head out to Cabarete and take our chances?
Also...have been trying to brush up on my Spanish, with limited success! Are the locals reasonably forgiving if you pull out a phrasebook every 5 minutes or so in a conversation??
