Default plug adapter

Trivial question... Do I need plug adapter for electrical appliances. I know
that voltage is the same in DR as in Canada.

Talking Not trivial at all

If you came and nothing worked you'd be unhappy. Our job is to make you happy. So good news. Same voltage and plug configuration, generally. Some hotels owned/run by Europeans may have the round plugs not the slotted ones. So if you want to be sure pack a couple two round pins with the normal USA slot adapters - they should be a dollar or so each. I encounter this now and then.

I suspect the dreaded AI's use all USA style plugs and force the Europeans to find adapters.

The quality is poor and I suggest if you are using it for a computer or digital camera dock etc., bring a surge suppressor - there are travel ones for portable computers that are quite small.
