"Announcment" - ON HOLD

Hello good posters, and friends of DR1

As you well know, we, the members of the 2005 Fiesta Committee, had planned on announcing our big fund raiser for the 2005 Fiesta on Tuesday, September 21....
Due to the recent developements, being Hurricane Jeanne, we have decided to hold off on the announcment for a couple of weeks, so that efforts to help the good people of the Dominican can be at the forefront.
If you are planning to bring supplies to the children over the next couple of months, would you please consider instead a monitary donation, as the schools could use some assistance due to the damage from the storm.
We will still be making the announcment, but out of respect, hold onto it for the time being.

I hope you will understand, and join us on the new announcment date.

Hi all

Have received word from one of our contacts at the DREAM Project that many of their schools may be under water. Their efforts this week will be devoted to assessing the schools, and we will update you with all info as we receive it.

Now is as good a time as any to make a donation to the DREAM Project, to assist them in any rebuilding efforts that may be required.
