How can I help?

I am traveling to Punta Cana mid November and I would like to bring an extra suitcase filled with things to help the victims of Hurricane Jeanne. I have already printed off the list of needed school supplies re:The Dream Project. What else is needed that I could bring? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I would like to do what I can.

I work at times closely with the Dominican Red Cross. I know for a fact that they, or any other non-profit help organizations, would be happy for donations in the form of medicine or other supplies such as sterile compresses etc. If you don't have space in the bag, just bring cash since most of the supplies needed can be bought locally....if you can pay for it.
