How much is regular gasoline on the average in DR? Currently 1.80 per gallon in Louisville KY. Also how many liters in a gallon approx.?

Gasoline is sold by the gallon here. The set price of regular is RD$ 86.60 this week. The exchange plus or minus is about 28.5 pesos/ 1 USD. That brings the cost of a gallon of gas here to roughly US$ 3.03 a gallon.

I have heard that although the gasoline is measured by the gallon. They will never give you the actual quantity in a gallon. Most of the pumps are rigged to give less but still read a gallon.
