Default I wish I can go back!

I came from from Punta Cana on July 3, 05...btw - I am from USA (florida) but I'm originally from Cuba. The thing is that I am soooo ready to go back, I had a wonderful time! I was lucky to meet a gay guy who now is a "very good" (at least le he cojido cariño) friend during my visit and I wish I can go just to spend some time with him.
The only issue is that my b/f doesn't want me to go (& he can't come with me) so I am going through a dilema b/c I really wanna go back but it is impossible!

I"m not quite sure what your asking for or the purpose of your post? sorry
but this is what I gathered and my thoughts:
Go by yourself again or find a friend to go with since your boyfirend can't go. If he doesn't want you to go find out why, that's something else.
I've gone with friends every time and had a blast and I have a boyfriend/fiance now. He trusts me as he should I go to relax from work and have fun with my friends and enjoy the DR since I love it so much!!

The DR is addictive, most people don't know until they go and visit

I would not mind to go alone but I am sort of afraid, regardless of the human warmth I get from people, it is a foreing country and anything can happen. Plus, what am I going to do alone at a resort, I'll have to wait for my friend to finish work to hang out with him and in the mean time what do I do?
I just got back a month ago, I guess I can wait a bit and go in couple of months....

and Yes! I must agree with you - "The DR is addictive, most people don't know until they go and visit "

Not sure what you mean by "anything can happen"...anything can happen to anyone anywhere in the world. I have never felt afraid in the DR...with the Number of shootings in Toronto lately....
I know this depends on your personality and your interests, but being alone in a resort can be a good experience...try to see it as a positive thing...read books, people watch, go to the gym...and most importantly soak up the suns rays! It is a good opportunity to be sociable if you enjoy chatting to other tourists and staff alike! Enjoy!

Your just having DR withdrawl lol we all get it, well those of us who truly are addicted to the DR. Hang in there listen to music, go out and eat some Dominican food, look at your vacation pics. That's what I do until I plan my next trip lol!
Welcome to the club!!

I've met lots of people who vacation alone. It depends on the type of person you are. Well even when vacationing with my friend I always use percaution as I do anywhere I go even at home.
As for your friend, when he works head to the beach, tour the city it's up to you. Just take a friend if you don't want to travel alone. I have tons of friends who would jump to go with me love my friends!

November is a great time to go to the DR. It's before high season so flights are cheaper. The kids are in school, so if you stay in an AI, it won't be packed with kids. The weather is cooler and hurricane season is just about over, so you don't have to worry about having days of constant rain.
