Where are the dominicans living in Georgia??

Dimelo!!! i just moved to ga from miami...and i am bummed...I am trying to meet some dominicans to go dancing..some dominican hairstylists...I know that they are some in atl but I don't know where!!! I am up to meeting new people...so help me out mi gente ~Lee Lee

I think you will find the dominicans in georgia living in houses and apartments. Also since it is the south, perhaps a double wide trailer or two.

I live here in Atlanta...(actually just left Miami this past weekend...lol) But I know exactly what your looking for and have some good info that will get you on the way...

For food and dancing(weekends only) You can go to Santo Domingo restaurant they have good authentic Dominican Comida Tipico and a lively Dominican Atmosphere and it turns into a dance spot on the weekends... here are a few websites below for a good review on the 1st link and the actually contact info on the second link website below...

For social festival your in luck because the Peachtree Latino Festival www.festivalpeachtreelatino.com is going on August 28th at the Underground Mall which is always good. Last year there were alot of Dominicans and Latin people from all countries.

For Dominican Hair Salons you can just go to Santo Domingo Restaurant and they will tell you the best ones or do a search on this board, I've seen it covered before.

Now for clubs and dancing where Salsa, Merengue and Reggeaton is played you can check out The Compound on Thursday nights www.compoundatl.com. Hottest Club in Atlanta right now and Bacardi sponser It and It's always a good crowd where the young and trendy go to dance. You can also check out Latin Sol located @ The Undergorund ... http://www.latinsolatlanta.com/ that's a good spot as well that caters to the same crowd but everyday.
