Hi Me And My Girlfriend Lisa Are Coming To Dm For First Time And Staying At Sun Beach Village, Aug 22nd For 2 Weeks, Not Planning On Spending Our Whole Holiday Stuck In Ai . We Are From England , Fancy Trying Out Pop And Sousa And Canesste And Anywhere Else Recomended. Mail Us Cant Wait Till Monday Need Some Sun Etc Etc

I case others like me have no idea what city it is in you might say what city it is in. There are many tourist AI centres in the DR. It seems it might be in the north. Where is Caneeste?

I am sure there are residents and visitors alike near you at the time to meet you and to visit with.

Just curious: isn't it hard to type every word with a capitalized first letter?

hi yes good point, well it is on the confressi beach apparently 6km from puerto plata , sound a bit away from it all !! sounds like we will be doing a lot of taxis !!
ps havent a clue why every word had a capital letter!! must be a bug on pc!!

Odd PC bug, in fact doubtful. Anyway now that you've let them all know where you will be you should get some invites. There are a lot of DR1 residents in the North Shore area. read some fo the posts and the blogs.

Look up the thread posted by Robert: "Damajagua Falls" --may be one of the best ever.
Then look up the posts by "Sliver Ghost" and "Gray Ghost" --same guy-- and read about what he did to keep himself busy.

Cofresí is where Ocean World is located, so that is a "don't miss" activity.

If you talk to the people there at the hotel, you can figure out how to use the local public transportation system to get into town (Puerto Plata) and on to Sosua and Cabarete.( It would probably cost about RD$30.00 pesos to go from Cofresí to Cabarete by 'guagua' vs several hundred pesos by taxi..the locals up there can fill you in on actual pricing) You could even get down to Santiago and walk around a city that is not remotely into tourism, and get a feel for life in the "slow" lane....

Of course, you will be made welcome where ever you go....
