are you going solo? or with friends? or family?

capital is too overcrowded..and too hot.
cibao is much calmer, cooler, peaceful.

Not much to do in Esperanza and Mao.At least as clubs and restaurants go. Mao has a water park.I think it's called Agua Azul. They are small towns and you can tell.
Nagua has a beach. That's about it.
You'll have better luck in Santiago.

Default Santiago

We have the Centro León, a beautiful museum and cultural center.

There are tons of places to eat and drink and dance.

And there are the malls that seem to attract a lot of attention, but if you are coming from NYC, the prices will be a lot higher..

There is nothing in Esperanza, sorry.

In Mao there are places to swim in the river Mao as well as some of the canals. And Agua Azul is a major attracion. Besides that, there is very little to do..Your family and friends will provide the majority of the entertainment.

There is Playa Punta Rucia just a way past Mao...
