Can you only withdraw pesos a ATMs in the DR. Are there some ATMs who dispense US dollars?

None in Puerto Plata........I doubt anywhere else.

I was told there was one at a farmacia on Independencia in Santo Domingo, near the V Centenario hotel. I did not use it though.

I have never ever seen an ATM in this country dispense US$.
I have never heard of one dispensing US$.
It makes absolutely no sense for a bank to do this.

So the answer is NO

Robert, it sounds like a strange concept to withdraw a foreign currency froman ATM but a few years back ATM's in Moscow did that. I think the Citibank in Manila will do it as well if you ar ewith drawing from a foreign denominated account.
