Default Stabbing in Bahia Principe

How worthy is the El National?
I read there was a stabbing which occured last Tues at 10PM which the the bar chief was knifed and died from his wounds from an employee there as he told him to pick up glasses he broke, and as tourists watched. He was taken to hospital and died and this person of haitian origin was arrested.

from what I understand from El National Punta Cana. This guy that stabbed his employer was Haitian and now it has caused a rucuss. Not sure of the details sorry but apparently it was done while the AI people were there, again not sure of the details

Very ugly story. We heard of it in Punta Cana too. The guy apparently had it in for his boss. But what's been happening since then is even worse because now Higuey and the areas surrounding it are blaming Haitians in general for everything. Apparently several houses have been destroyed and Haitians have gone into hiding to keep from getting killed... Higueyanos are saying that they're going to get rid of all Haitians, like they did in Bonao.

It is a horrible story and I think is very sad to see how Dominicans and Haitians are attacking eachother like salvage animals. I personally live in Higuey and have seen the news daily of terrible stuff occuring here. You walk down streets and see how these people treat eachother. I believe that there are good and bad people everywhere. Being born in the U.S. you basically have seen it all and is extremely sad to see that this small country can't get a long with Haitians when in the U.S. you have practically people from everywhere. Just because you have a couple of Haitians doing things they are not suppose to being doing here doesn't mean that they should all pay for it. It is not that I am defending them or going against Dominicans but I believe in fairness, justice and equality. All should not pay for one. In the particular neighborhood that this Dominican guy lived there is not one Haitian person living there becuase that same night they are kicked out of there whether they wanted or not. Is that a way to treat people. Where is this world coming to???

I don't see anything stupid about katty's post creoleboy,

You can't call people ignorant just because they are telling the truth.

It is not just Haitians killing dominicans, haitians are even killing each other just as well.

Many Haitians are short tempered and won't think twice to put someone's lights out.

I would never argue with a Haitian because if I do I would have to kill him before he would kill me later. That is one thing that many people don't know about Haitians and make the mistakes of just thinking that after an arguement with one of them everything is gonna be alright... They are vengeful people and will get you the moment that you least expect it.

But I rather not even come to close to them, that way I will never have to argue with one of them.

I usually just keep my distance.
But it does not mean that I am predjudice against them.

I agree with you. The fact that he's Haitian is really only important because of the subsequent actions that were taken by the general population. I don't consider it was a direct attack on Haitians in general. Now if she had said, "Here we go again, another f****** haitian's gone and killed a Dominican angel...." I don't say, but come on!

I think the Lord of the Flies environment in New Orleans showed that not just Haitians and Dominicans are agressive to each other. That was appalling animalistic behavior in the refugee sites.
