Default Wedding in DR

Thank god I found this forum. I'm renewing my wedding vows after 15yrs of marriage . Both my husband and I are 34 yrs old( so we are still young) with 3 children. I'm half Dominican and Puerto Rican and I haven't been to DR since 1990. I don't know much about DR. I do know I wanted to begin to show my children their heritage. Where is the best place to have a wedding on the beach? I have heard from my friends that Bavaro Beach is beautiful. Any suggestions?

Default re-wedding

I just got back from a wedding at Breezes in Puerto Plata and even though the wedding was lovely and the bride and groom were happy with everything I have to say it was not one of the better resorts in the DR. Bavaro beach is by far the nicest and back in March I stayed at the Puta cana princess where several weddings went on and they all looked very lovely. I found Punta Cana to be the better bet for everything but thats just me. Happy renewal. 2 good websites for resort and wedding reviews are www.tripadvisor.com and debbiesdominicantravel.com

truematch20 thanks for that tip. I emailed the hotel and they gave me a response right away and info. That shows professionalism.
Thanks
