You're probably right--but if it can be avoided and people have time to get a passport, better to be safe than sorry. And i suppose i was thinking about the passport in terms of being able to assert legal identity in the DR, (hence my recommendation especially if you are a person of color). Naturally,a passport is unecessary for a two week trip to an all inclusive--or something along those lines.

Sorry if i scared anyone.

If it happens it will be the first thing that Bush said he would do that has gotten done.

Since the Tri summit in Cancun, it lloks like things might be changed to a high tech card for Canucks and Americans going back and forth.
