Of course you don't have to wear a dress!! You can wear dress "shorts" or pants. Non issue!

ask for the king, he is honest and has given us wonderful service the last 2 yrs. Also he is insured too so many of them are not. He has an office around back. so if you do ask someone and they take you else where, you know that they just want your money lol. He has the same tours that the resorts offer and more. Hope that helps.

Cool Shampoo/Conditioner

I know we have to bring our own shampoo and conditioner... but are you people bringing whole bottles?

Or just taking enough in a seperate container to last the trip?

I thought it may look more curious if you bring on a liquid in an unmarked bottle... I also don't want to get to the airport and have them throw away my shampoo

Any thoughts or advice?

I would suggest that you take the whole bottle. You can always leave it there for the maids. Thats usually what we do. We also leave our towels as well.

Default Mosquitoes, Sand Flies, Weather Forecasts

Folks:

During our visit over New Year's Week, my wife got 3-4 mosquito bites over about half the nights, all in the resort and none on the beach. She didn't have any buy repellant applied. The rest of us in our group (7) didn't have any mosquito or sand fly bites at all.

We were on the beach for several hours every day, both on the dry sand part and on the damper sand just above the tide line. No sandflies to be seen or felt by any of us. (I've been on beaches full of sand flies before and recall the "feeling" - Nelson NZ).

As for the weather forecasts you get from various sites (eg. Canada, UK, weather underground, unisys), they are only computer generated with no human input. There is a tendency for the computer models to overdo the chance of showers in these areas and be too low with the maximum temperatures, so read these with a grain of salt. It was far sunnier and about 4 C warmer our week than the forecasts had indicated.

Hope this helps

We bought the small sample bottles at walmart to take with us. If you have some from before just fill them up.
