HI all
We are just back from 2 great weeks, and I;ll post a longer report later, right now I am up to my knees in laundry!

One thing. TAKE AN UMBRELLA. we had 14 days of rain every day. Some days not enough to get up off the beach chair. Some days so much we couldn't leave the room (we were unprepared) and we even missed supper one nite. Ok we weren't really hungry since we had been trying most everything in the buffet! and we did nt want to get soaked. no biggie

We are very upset, however with the airline. When we left canada we were allowed to bring in liquids that fit in a little zip loc baggie. When we left DR we were allowed NO liquids to be brought throught security. I dropped my little bottle of hand sanitizer into the front pocked of my husband's checked bag. When we got home I found it funny it wasn't there, but it was a small bottle of purel. Then my husband noticed his shaving kit has been gone throught and everything is upset. That is ok , nothing is missing and we think this is kinda wierd. Then my 6yo is asking for the CD of crowsfeet island that we bought the last nite. It was in my husband's suitcase. and now it is not here. She is in tears.

It's a sad ending to an otherwise good vacation.

my son also likes stereophonics and snow patrol....we have a standard room i think...its ages away but i cant wait....does anyone no if theres a mini bar in the standard rooms?

Cool maybe we will bump into each other and they can hang out, I have just been told it is so uncool to say cool.

In the brochure it does not state that standard or family room's have a mini bar but i read an earlier post page 288 that the family had their mini bar restocked regulary, so lets keep our fingers crossed as we would really like a mini bar and we are staying in a family room.

We had a standard room, and we had a mini bar. They put a large bottle of water, two pepsi, two 7-up and two beer in it every day. Even when we had some left from the day before we got two of each. We actually ended up with three large bottles of water at the end of the trip!
